Karnataka ITI Admission 2022 will begin from the month of May 2022 tentatively with the release of application form. Karnataka ITI Admission 2022 Application Form

Karnataka ITI Admission application form 2022 will be made available in online mode on the official website. The candidates can fill and submit their application on or before the last date in order to be eligible for the admission process. In the application form, the candidates the important details related to their personal and educational life. Care must be taken not to make any kind of mistakes in the application form as incorrect form might get rejected. Through a single application form, the candidates can apply to a single trade in any of the state government ITIs.

Karnataka ITI Admission Eligibility Criteria 2022

The following eligibility criteria have been laid by the authorities to be fulfilled by the candidates who wish to apply for Karnataka ITI Admission 2022:

Age limit: The minimum age of the candidates should be 14 years.

Educational qualification:

For 1-year non-engineering courses:

  • For Cutting & Tailoring/ Embroidery & Needle Work trade: Those candidates who have appeared in their class 10th exam (pass or fail) can apply for these trades.
  • For Dress Making trade: Those who have passed class 10th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply.
  • For Secretarial Practice/ Stenography/ COPA trade: The applicants should have passed their PUC exam in order to be eligible.

For 1-year engineering courses:

  • For Mason/ Plumber/ Wireman trade: The candidates must have appeared in their class 10th exam (pass or fail) in order to be eligible.
  • For Carpenter/ Mechanic (Diesel)/ Foundryman/ Plastic Processing Operator/ Sheet Metal Worker trade: The candidates should have passed their class 10th exam (SSLC) in order to be eligible for these trades.
  • For Computer Operator & Programming Assistant trade: A pass in II PUC exam or a 3-year diploma is required.
  • For Desktop Publishing Operator trade: The applicants should have passed their SSLC exam with English medium and should have a typing speed of 30 wpm in English.

For 2-year engineering courses:

  • For Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)/ Fitter/ Instrument Mechanic/ Surveyor/ Machinist/ Turner/ Electroplater trade: Those applicants who have passed their SSLC examination (class 10th) can apply for the mentioned trades.
  • For Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant)/ Lab Assistant (Chemical Plant)/ Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) trade: The candidates who have passed their SSLC (class 10th) exam or those who are B.Sc graduates (PCM) are considered eligible.

For 3-year engineering courses:

  • For Tool & Die Making trade: SSLC pass candidates are eligible to apply for Tool & Die Making trade.

For COE trade:

  • For Production & Manufacturing/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Refrigeration & Air Conditioning trade: The applicants should have passed their class 10th exam (SSLC) in order to be eligible for these trades.

Merit List

The merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by them in the qualifying exam. Different merit lists will be prepared for admissions to engineering and non-engineering trades. The candidates will be granted enrolment into the different ITIs strictly according to the merit list.

Selection Process

The applicants whose names appear in the merit list will be invited to attend the selection process. The original documents of the candidates will be verified and the candidates will be offered admissions on the basis of choices made by them in their application. Those who are allotted a seat in an ITI college will then have to report to the allotted institute in order to complete rest of the admission formalities.
