The prestigious Banaras Hindu University will be announcing its degree programs in undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses / certificate program. The university will conduct several entrance examinations such as BHU UET, BHU PET, BHU RET, BHU PAT, etc. For some courses, the admissions are granted on the basis of merit list. BHU 2022 Application Form
The university will release the application form for the different entrance exams separately. According to the choice of their course, the candidates will be required to fill up the respective application form. The candidates will have to register themselves using their email id and mobile number before they can start filling their form. The university will communicate with the candidate using their registered email id and contact number. After successful registration, the candidates can start filling their application form. The application fee can be submitted using online payment gateway or through cash by using HDFC bank Challan available on the website.
BHU UG 2022 Admissions
- Undergraduate Entrance Tests
|B.Ed||The candidate must secure at least 50% either in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science / social science / humanities / commerce. The candidates who have done BE / B.Tech with science and mathematics and at least 55% marks or equivalent can apply.|
|LL.B Hons.||BA/B.Sc/B.Com/Shsatri degree with at least 50% marks in core subjects, or equivalent, is required.|
|BA LL.B Hons.||The applicant must secure a minimum of 50% marks (for general), 45% marks (for OBC) and 40% (for SC / ST) in the qualifying exam.|
|B.P.Ed||A bachelor’s degree in any stream is required.|
- MBBS/BDS Admission
Eligibility: The candidates who have cleared their NEET UG 2022 can apply for the MBBS/BDS degree program. The admissions will be granted on the basis of merit list and no entrance exam will be conducted.
- B.Sc Nursing/B.Pharma (Ay)
Eligibility: The applicants should have done 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBS (non-creamy layer)). Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are the compulsory subjects. The appearing candidates are also eligible.
- Special courses of Study-Diploma and Certificate
Eligibility: The candidate should clear their qualifying exam as the admission is provided on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying exam.
BHU UG 2022 Admissions
- FMS MBA/MBA IB
Eligibility: The candidate must hold a valid CAT scorecard to be eligible for MBA admissions in BHU.
- DM/M.Ch Entrance Test
For DM courses: The applicant must hold a degree of MD (in Medicine or Pediatrics) or DNB in related subjects or an equivalent degree recognized by Medical Council of India.
For M.Ch courses: The candidate should have an MS/DNB (Surgery) or an equivalent degree recognized by Medical Council of India. The candidates should have an MS / DNB in ENT, orthopedics, obstetrics, and gynecology if they wish to appear for surgical oncology.
- M.Pharma (Ay)
Eligibility: The candidate must hold a B.Pharma degree in Ayurveda with at least 50% aggregate marks, done from a recognized university.
- BHU PET
|MA||The candidate should have passed BA/BA (Hons.) or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks under 10+2+3 pattern.|
|M.Sc||The candidate should have passed B.Sc/B.Sc (Hons.) or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks under 10+2+3 pattern.|
|M.Com||The candidate should have passed B.Com/B.Com (Hons.) or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks under 10+2+3 pattern.|
|MBA||Should have any graduation degree with a minimum of 50% passing marks.|
|MCA||Should have any BCA with a minimum of 50% passing marks.|
|LLM||The applicant should have done 3-year LLB course after graduation or 5 –year LLB course after class 12th.|
BHU Ph.D. 2022 Admissions
- The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination securing the minimum percentage of marks. There is a relaxation of 5% of marks or equivalent grade point average for SC / ST / PC candidates.)
- The candidate should not have obtained more than one 3rd division or equivalent grade point average in the overall academic career.
BHU Admit Card 2022
The admit card for the entrance exam will be available around one week before the date of commencement of examination. The candidates can download the admit card from the official website of the university. The university will send the students an SMS or mail to the candidates once the admit card is made available.
BHU 2022 Exam Pattern
The entrance exam will be conducted in an offline mode, i.e. pen and paper mode. Separate exams will be conducted for UG, PG and Research. For UG, it will conduct the UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test), PET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) and RET (Research Entrance Test). The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and multiple-choice questions will be asked in the paper. The question paper will be available in English & Hindi language.
Result and Counseling
The result of the different entrance exams will be announced on the university’s official website. On the basis of marks secured in the entrance test, a merit list will be prepared. A provisional answer key will also be released by the university. In case any student finds any discrepancy in the answer key they can file their objection within 5 days of the release of the provisional answer key.
On the basis of marks secured in the entrance exam, the candidates will be called for counseling. The mode of the counseling will be online. According to their rank and availability of seats in various colleges, the seats will be allotted to the candidates. Students will have to bring the allotment letter when they report to the allotted college, along with the following documents:

- Migration Certificate
- Transfer Certificate
- Character Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
